Blockade®, a proprietary phosphorous-tin-silicon alloy engineered to provide a low cost alternative to silver bearing filler metals.
Self-fluxing on copper and low melting temperature makes Blockade® an excellent choice for brass.
Parts of Blockade® liquify faster than others, filling the capillary rapidly while less liquid parts of Blockade® forms a 'cap' around the top of the connection.
Being a silicon braxing alloy, Blockade® offers significant advantages over phos/copper and silver/phos/copper brazing alloys with noticable effects:
- Outstanding ability to form a large 'cap' at the braze connection
- Distinct, favourable colour changes in the finished braze alloy
- Improved ductility over non-silver-bearing brazing alloys
- Brazes brass and brass alloys with ease, without addition of silver
- Significantly reduces brazing temperatures
- Enhances the favourable colour change
Extreme ease of use, without the need for brazing experience, even the novice can easily make a very good 'cap'. |
